  • This festival draws people of all age groups, as the drum educators, facilitators and performers producing ORF are involved in varied communities throughout the Okanagan Valley. This festival is promoting a healthy family event that focuses on ‘connecting community’.

  • ORF featured workshops that ranged from cultural specific traditional drumming and dance to contemporary forms including drum circle facilitation. Visit the ORF web site for photos and more!

  • As an educator and instructor, Angela has instructed all ages from children to adults for 12 years as an early childhood educator and college instructor.

  • Trevor Salloum is a percussionist, author and teacher who has conducted workshops and performed internationally for over 25 years.
  • Trevor resides in Kelowna, BC, Canada and leads two Okanagan Valley bands- Major Mambo and The Trevor Salloum Group.
  • Trevor teaches group and private classes in Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and Middle Eastern percussion.

  • Saturdays 1-3 pm, staring Oct 1, 2016
  • 108 Mile Ranch - Community Centre Upstairs room
  • Bring a drum if you have one. No previous experience required.
  • We start our Saturday sessions with a freestyle warm-up, then a short period of technique exercises, helpful to all levels of playing - beginners and beyond. The final hour or so is back to freestyle.
