Whether it is created by left over wood, recycled bottle or “junk”, the participant discovers their own voice, their own rhythm and finds creative ways to merge it with others to create one common beat that defines the unique sound of that group. In doing so each can be accountable for their own results, the group results, and their own degree of participation, but in all workshops, relationships are developed and nurtured: participant to self, participant to others, and participant to the world at large. 	:: Samba Tribe :: Kelowna Samba Tribe is a Brazilian Samba Batucada group in Kelowna, created by Miriam Cunha Samba-batucada is one of the many rhythms of Brazil, a contagious musical style that emerged from African rhythms brought by the slaves to Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. 	:: Harambee :: Vernon Harambee (Swahili for "let's pull together") is an African drumming group based in Vernon, BC which formed in the fall of 2006. Harambee offers instruction in African drumming and dancing under the instruction of Bobby Bovenzi (see above) and occasional guest instructors. New members are welcome. 	:: Fana Soro & Masabo :: Ottawa West African drumming and dance group Masabo performs under the direction of Fana Soro MASABO has been touring locally, nationally and internationally since 1997. The group's featured performers are Fana Soro (Cote d'Ivoire), Jean Pierre Makosso (Congo-Brazzville), Kocassale Dioubate (Guinea) and Kesseke Yeo (Cote d'Ivoire). Check out the Masabo blog.

She shares her passions, offering rhythmic and vocal performances and workshops across Western Canada. As an educator and instructor, Angela has instructed all ages from children to adults for 12 years as an early childhood educator and college instructor.
	:: Trevor Salloum :: Kelowna Trevor Salloum is a percussionist, author and teacher who has conducted workshops and performed internationally for over 25 years. Trevor resides in Kelowna, BC, Canada and leads two Okanagan Valley bands- Major Mambo and The Trevor Salloum Group.
